Baltimore Chippendale Cherry Corner Cupboard, circa 1765-1785 .

An outstanding shell dome cupboard, with scalloped shaped shelves, and stopped fluted pilasters.
The arched door panels & early Chinese influenced window mullions, together with the scalloped shaped interior shelves shows this to be one of the rarest and best examples of American corner cupboards.---Quite possibly one of the earliest Maryland corner cupboards known.
The intricacy of the design of the door mullions, together with the arched shape of the doors, the shape of the central carved keystone and fluted pilasters give testament that this cupboard was made by an exceptional and highly trained craftsman for a client of stature, position, and wealth
A rare corner cupboard, made in the best of 18th century Baltimore traditions.
This cupboard has a note pasted inside that states that the previous owner purchased this cupboard back in 1957 from one of  Americas' leading antiques dealer: Phillip Bradley, of Penna.
