George II Burl Walnut Card Table, circa 1730. A fine burl walnut
card table with rare concertina-action. The hinged top with rounded corners
opening to an embroidered playing surface depicting various playing cards with
recessed money wells ('loo' chip pockets) above a plain frieze, raised on
cabriole legs carved at the knees with fully developed acanthus leaves and
terminating in ball and claw feet.
