A  RARE  SOUTHERN  FORMAL  HUNTBOARD/SIDEBOARD.  middle Atlantic  states,  circa  1790  -  1810.

A RARE Southern Inlaid Mahogany Huntboard/Sideboard, constructed with the most desirable narrow proportions.---Only 54" wide.  
    The 'bellflower' inlay in the legs, the highly-figured 'book matched' flame mahogany veneers in the face of the cupboard doors, the use of above average Caribbean mahogany in the single piece top board, along with the details of construction, provides evidence that this huntboard/sideboard was made for a knowledgeable customer living back in the early part of the 19th century.
     This Huntboard/sideboard is in excellent original condition, with an old varnish finish.
     A most desirable early huntboard/sideboard made for the most discriminating collector.
