A George III Carved Mahogany Tall case Clock. The works signed: "Jas Love-LONDON", c.1790. The 'pagoda' shaped top centering three brass ball-and-steeple finials, above a hood with a hinged & glazed door opening to a brass engraved dial with minute and date register, inscribed: 'Jas Love, LONDON', flanked by fluted quarter columns with brass capitals and brass 'stop-fluted' reeding. The waisted case below, similiarily fitted with fluted columns, brass capitals, & brass 'stop-fluted' reeding centering a moulded edge door of highly-figured crotch-grained mahogany. The base below, enclosing a panel of matching crotch mahogany with similiar moulding, on bracket feet.
